The Board carries out the government of the village. The Board is comprised of the following elements and meets monthly (except December unless necessary).
The Executive acts on behalf of the Board between meetings in regard to special urgent action and any significant decision which is then ratified at the next meeting.

Board members are elected to serve on at least one of the following sub-committees:
Board members are encouraged to undertake professional development to further their role at WCSCHI. This could sometimes require attendance at meetings or conferences, or members may also decide to take some external course to benefit both themselves and WCSCHI.
